Cortland Wastewater Staff

	Harvey K. Davis Chief Operator Harvey has been in wastewater operations since 1973. He came on board at Cortland as Chief Operator in 1993. He also administers the City’s Industrial Waste Pre-treatment Program and serves as the facility’s Laboratory Director. Harvey holds a Grade 4A NYS Wastewater Operator's Certification.
	Lael Ayers Administrative Assistant Lael joined the staff in 1996. She does accounting, reception, data entry and general office good humor.
	Bruce Adams Deputy Chief Operator Bruce has been with the plant since 1985. In addition to his duties as operations foreman, he also maintains the plant’s instrumentation system and provides PC tech support for the staff and does database and general programming for plant data analysis. Bruce is a NYS Certified Grade 4A Wastewater Operator.
	Wayne Swindon Maintenance Foreman Wayne started with the plant as an operator in 1971. As maintenance foreman, he manages preventive and corrective maintenance for the facility’s considerable investment in equipment. Wayne recently earned his Grade 4A Certification.
	Gary Valentine Operator/Lab Technician Gary has been a member of the staff since 1977. For the past several years, he has been the laboratory technician, performing process testing and some compliance testing. Gary is a NYS Certified Grade 3 Wastewater Operator.
	Gary Conklin Operator/Mechanic Gary started here in 1978. As a maintenance mechanic, he helps implement the plant’s extensive maintenance program. Gary is a NYS Certified Grade 3 Wastewater Operator.
	Art Hawley Operator/Mechanic Art started here in 1990. He helps implement the plant’s extensive maintenance program. Art has earned a Grade 3A NYS Wastewater Operator Certification.
	Tom McCall Operator Tom joined the staff in 2002. He does operations and belt press dewatering and also assists with the maintenance program. Tom has earned a Grade 3A NYS Wastewater Operator's Certificate.
	Ed Poole Operator Ed hired on in 2004. He does operations and dewatering, and also drives sludge to the landfill. Ed holds a Grade 2A Operator's Certificate.
	Brian McCall Laborer Brian joined the crew in 2005. He is learning how the process and the equipment work, and holds a Grade 1A Operator's Certificate.
